Yufei Yuan
Yufei Yuan is a senior researcher, co-director of Active-mode lab at the department of Transport and Planning. After receiving his M.Sc. degree in transport and planning from Delft University of Technology in 2008, he joined the department of Transport & Planning. He defended his PhD thesis in March 2013. His research interest lies with traffic flow theory and simulation, data mining and processing, traffic state estimation and prediction, traffic management and analysis under evacuations, and intelligent transportation systems. His focus now is extending to “active traffic”, including pedestrian, bicyclist and micromobility flows, covering data collection, behavioral interpretation, modelling underpinning, simulation implementation, and data-driven applications.
